A client accused of theft for over $10,000 and breaking and entering obtains a withdrawal of sanctions

Wednesday, February 10th, 2016

December 2015;

A client of Mr Morin was accused of breaking and entering in his friend's home, where he had supposedly stolen goods on four occasions, for a total amount of over $10,000. Considering the fact the accused was a minor at the time, a deal for the withdrawal of sanctions was made with the Crown prosecutor of the Youth division if he repaid the plaintiffs and if he completed a rehabilitation program. By following these steps, the accused avoided a conviction on all counts.

Mr Morin also previously negotiated with the prosecutor to free him after he was arrested for not showing up in Court, as stated in his recognizance.

Your personal situation can have an important impact on the outcome of your case. By consulting a lawyer, you can be assured your rights will be duly protected and the best possible defense will be presented in court.
